Tinsley Workshop - JWST results on galaxies and black holes in the early Universe

Hosted by the Yale Department of Astronomy

The inaugural Tinsley Workshop Oct 27-29, 2024 will commemorate the intellectual legacy of our late faculty member, Prof. Beatrice Tinsley. The science theme of the workshop is JWST results on galaxies and black holes in the very early Universe, paying homage to her foundational and seminal contributions to galaxy formation. To kick-off the workshop, a public talk by Dr. Jane R. Rigby Senior Project Scientist for JWST will be held on Oct 27, 2024, 4PM at the YUAG* Lecture Theater, Chapel Street.

*The public talk by Dr. Jane R. Rigby will be held at the Yale University Art Gallery (YUAG) Lecture Theater at 1111 Chapel Street (cross street at York Street) on October 27, 2024, 4PM.

The Workshop will be held at Kline Tower on campus in the 14th floor meeting space on October 28-29, 2024.
